Following the decision of the Christ Church, Huntingdon’s Church Council to leave the Church of England, the Bishop’s Mission Order will not be renewed after 24 February 2024 and therefore will cease from that date.

Departure Announcement: The Revd Robert John Strachan

The Revd Robert (Robbie) John Strachan, currently Associate Vicar in the Holy Sepulchre with All Saints, Cambridge has been appointed Vicar of Lincoln St Peter in Eastgate and Lincoln St Peter in Carlton in the Diocese of Lincoln. His last Sunday in the Benefice will be 24 April 2024 and his last day in the Benefice will be 1 May 2024.

The Acting Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce that the Revd Sarah Gower, Rural Dean of Yaxley, has accepted the invitation to continue as Rural Dean for a further five years. The Archdeacon of Huntingdon and Wisbech will commission Sarah on 27 February 2024.

Retirement Announcement: The Revd Canon Matthew Laurence Bradbury

The Revd Canon Matthew Laurence Bradbury, Vicar of St Peter and St Paul, Wisbech and St Augustine, Wisbech (held in plurality) is retiring on 30 June 2024, after 21 years of Ministry in the Diocese of Ely. His last Sunday in the Benefices will be on 30 June.

Following the Bishop's Pastoral Order, which will come into effect on 1 December 2023, the name of the Benefice of Sawtry, Glatton and Holme with Conington shall be changed to "The Benefice of The Fen Edge Churches". The Revd Canon Rebecca (Becky) Dyball is and will remain Incumbent (Rector) of the Benefice
