It is my sad duty to give you now the details of the funeral service for Rev Carol Avery. Given her close involvement with communities in Peterborough, this will take place in Peterborough Cathedral. Her husband Andrew has issued the following invitation. Please continue to hold him and the family in your prayers.
Invitation to the Funeral Service for Rev Carol Avery BEM
Rev Andrew Avery invites friends from across the Diocese of Ely to remember and celebrate the life and ministry of Carol Avery with him on
Tuesday 8 October at 1pm in Peterborough Cathedral.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, guests are requested to wear something colourful, and clergy are invited to sit with guests in the congregation.
The service will be led by Rt Rev Dr Dagmar Winter, Acting Bishop of Ely, by kind permission of the Dean of Peterborough.
Tea and cake will be served afterwards in the cathedral.
