The license of the Revd Patrick John McEune, Vicar of The Raddesley Group of Parishes is extended past his 70th birthday, until the 20th October 2025.
We are pleased to announce that the Revd Canon Dr Jonathan Richard Kimber, who currently holds Permission to Officiate in the Worcester Diocese, has accepted the role of Interim Chaplain at Kings College, Cambridge starting from 14 April 2025. Jonathan is remaining Canon Emeritus of Peterborough Cathedral.
The Revd Jennifer Clare Hill, currently Priest in Charge of the 5fold Team Ministry, is stepping down from this role on 7 May. Jenny will continue to hold Permission to Officiate in the Diocese of Ely
The Revd Nigel Austin di Castiglione, currently Team Vicar, in the Papworth Benefice, is retiring on 31 July 2025. His last Sunday in the Benefice will be 29 June 2025.
Further to the announcement of 8 December 2024, we are pleased to inform that The Revd Christopher (Chris) Peter Fox, currently Vicar, St Paul Church, Ealing, in the Diocese of London will be instituted and inducted as Incumbent (Vicar) of St Barnabas, Cambridge, on 22 July 2025.
The Reverend David Owain Sheppard currently Priest in Charge of the Buckden with the Offord Benefice and Assistant Director of Ordinands and Vocations Adviser in the Diocese of Ely has been appointed as Rector of Thaxted, Hempstead, Radwinter and The Samfords in the Diocese of Chelmsford.
The Revd Canon Lesley (Nicki) Nicole Bland, currently Vicar, in the Staughtons with Hail Weston Benefice, and Rural Dean for St Neots Deanery is retiring on 13 September 2025. Her last Sunday in the Benefice will be 7 September 2025.
The Revd Canon Joan Anne Horan, currently Rector of the Grimshoe Benefice, and Rural Dean for Fincham and Feltwell Deanery is retiring on 20 April 2025.
The Revd Canon Annette Susan Reed, currently Vicar, in the Paxtons with Diddington and Southoe Benefice, is retiring on 29 July 2025. Her last Sunday in the Benefice will be 27 July 2025.
We were sorry to hear of the death on 9th February 2025 at the age 86, of The Rev’d Kenneth Anderson and remember his wife Polly and the family in our prayers.

We are pleased to announce that the Revd Elizabeth (Liz) Joan Gabrielle Strickland, currently Associate Priest in the Benefice of Hartford and Houghton with Wyton is to be licensed, on 6 February, as Associate Priest in the Benefice of Bluntisham cum Earith with Colne and Holywell cum Needingworth, locally known as Merdian Benefice (Self Supporting Minister).
Further to the announcement of 8 December informing about departure of The Reverend Susan (Sue) Fiona Simpson currently Rector to Somersham with Pidley and Oldhurst and Woodhurst Benefice to be Vicar for the United Parish of Aldborough & Boroughbridge with Roecliffe, Minskip and Dunsforth in the Diocese of Leeds.
The Reverend Steven Rothwell currently Incumbent (Vicar) of St James, Cambridge and Curate Training Officer (IME2) has been appointed as Clergy Development Officer in the Diocese of Ely. Steve will continue his IME2 role in the Diocese. His last Sunday in the parish will be Easter Day, 20th April and he will begin his new role on Monay 28 April
Further to the departure announcement made on 2 November 2024 for The Reverend Lloyd Martin Davis currently Associate Vicar (Pioneer), Whittlesey, Ponderbridge and Coates and Assistant Director of Ordinands in the Diocese of Ely and his appointment as Team Vicar in Beaconsfield (Holtspur St Thomas & The Dove Cafe) in the Diocese of Oxford. We can confirm that Lloyd's institution date is 23 April 2025. His last Sunday in his current Benefice will be 30 March 2025.
