Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers

The Diocese of Ely is pleased to be able to offer all Parish, Deanery and BMO treasurers in the Diocese free membership of the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers (ACAT).

If you are a Parish, Deanery or BMO treasurer, you can request log-in details from the Diocesan Finance department in order to access the online resources available from ACAT. There you will find the online ACAT Handbook, latest ACAT Newsletter, Treasurers’ Guidelines, details of training courses and conferences and access to the Members’ Advice Line.

If you already hold individual membership of ACAT, you might now wish to cancel your Individual Membership by letting ACAT know by email at membership@acat.uk.com.

More about ACAT

ACAT is the national support charity for Treasurers of Christian Churches. Active across the UK they support over 17,500 Church Treasurers. Click here to visit their website.

Their aim is to advance the Christian religion through the promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of Christian Churches and Organisations by the provision to its members of advice, training and information on accounting, financial, legal and other related issues.

ACAT offer useful training courses for Treasurers and the Diocese will also be arranging some bespoke training for its Treasurers through ACAT on an ongoing basis.
