RIP Rev’d Dr Stuart Mews
We are sorry to hear of the death on 29th August 2024 of Revd Dr Stuart Mews.
The father of four boys and multiple grandchildren, Stuart’s achievements included being president of the ecclesiastical history society, his primary interest being church history around the time of the first world war. He was rector of many C of E parishes, a Methodist Lay Preacher and a long serving politician and school governor. His last post was as Rector at Granchester.
His family have said that anyone who knew Stuart or would like to attend a celebration of his life are warmly invited to attend his funeral which will take place at Wesley Church Cambridge on 4th October at 12.30pm and join the family for the wake afterwards.
May Stuart rest in peace and rise in glory.
