It is with the deepest sadness that we report the death in the early hours of this morning [10 September 2024] of Rev Carol Avery, Associate Priest in the parishes of Stanground, Farcet and Fletton.
Carol died in Addenbrookes Hospital after a short illness.
Her ministry in this diocese over the last 5 years has been marked by great warmth, courage and faith. Working alongside her husband, Andrew, she led both the 3 parishes and a charity, Mary’s Child, which has played a significant role in supporting vulnerable and marginalised people across Peterborough.
Please hold Andrew and their family, as well as the parishes, in your prayers, as we thank God for Carol’s life and ministry.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
