John was appointed Assistant DAC Secretary in March 2023 after joining the team in June 2022 as a placement student studying for a Masters in Building History at the University of Cambridge.
John provides guidance to parishes on building repair, alteration works and all other matters requiring full Faculty or List B consent, managing cases, advising on the process and the preparation of the information needed to ensure applications are ready for DAC consideration.
John supports the DAC Secretary in the management of the DAC processes including the preparation of agendas, papers, and presentation material for DAC meetings, disseminating information to committee members, attending DAC meetings, presenting cases, arranging DAC visits , issuing Notifications of Advice and relaying feedback to parishes.
