The Revd David Newton, whose substantive role is as Team Rector of The Lordsbridge Team of Churches, and Lead Minister for Comberton and Toft, has been appointed as a Bishop's Advisor for Climate. 
David has been a member of the Diocesan Environmental Task Group since its inception. The group is tasked with improving the environmental performance of buildings, improving the ecological value of churchyards and other land holdings, and promoting a sustainable Gospel. Working together as Bishop's Advisors, Imogen Nay and David are focused on promoting a sustainable Gospel. This means emphasising that God has come in Christ, reconciling all things, all creation, to himself, and not just people; it means remembering that we are part of an interdependent creation in which worship of God, love of people, and love of the planet are all tied up together. We encourage all churches to start their eco journey by registering with Eco-Church and working towards their awards.
