The Church of England’s Presence & Engagement Team has recommended the long-awaited report from Colin Bloom, Independent Faith Engagement Advisor.
The Bloom Report, entitled Does Government do God?, looks at how government can best celebrate the contribution of faith groups, whilst tackling harmful practices. More than 21,000 people responded to the public consultation and the report includes 22 recommendations for government. This landmark review into faith engagement has found the government needs to recognise faith groups as a force for good, and the text of the report may be a useful resource for churches in their engagement with local authorities and government agencies.
