As part of the Harvest and Creationtide events at All Saints’ Landbeach, volunteers ran three two-hour wreath-making workshops during their Harvest weekend (Sept 20-21), providing welcome and involvement to visitors, community and church members alike. Participants had fun exploring sustainable methods and created some enchanting seasonal wreaths in a supportive and happy atmosphere.
All workshops were full; 24 adults and six children attended, with many 'mums and daughters' enjoying this intergenerational creative workshop. The workshops were free, to encourage access, but donations were invited and a resulting £223.08 was raised for the fabric fund, to facilitate heating of the church during community events, like the weekly lunches and warm space the church provides.
Run in part to raise the profile of the Christmas Tree (and Wreath) Festival at the end of November, the event was so successful - much due to the ongoing support of All Saints' PCC, Friends Group, and some deeply dedicated volunteers - that another one is planned very soon!
