During the day you will look at some of the basic concepts in risk and safety, the legal framework under the Health and Safety at Work Act, the process of managing and assessing risk, a number of common health and safety areas that require managing in a church context, insurance for churches, and the construction of a risk matrix.
Suitable for charity trustees (PCC members), church wardens, parish safeguarding officers, and volunteers who have responsibility for risk management, health and safety in their church context. It is also highly recommended for people in any role with responsibility for running church activity.
Attending in person, especially if from the local and surrounding area, will give the opportunity to exchange experience with fellow delegates and discuss informally throughout the day. There is also an option of attending virtually, with the cost being the same.
This is a full day session, with registration at the venue from 9.30am and the course itself running from 10am - 4pm. Refreshment and lunch breaks throughout the day are built into the programme & are always a great opportunity to interact with fellow delegates.
