The Diocese of Ely now has 100 churches receiving regular, planned donations through the Parish Giving Scheme.
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) was launched in our Diocese in 2017. Ely is one of 29 Dioceses participating in the PGS. Over 1,400 donors in our Diocese are using the scheme to make a regular gift to their church, and that number grows each month.
Martin Kenward (Projects and Development Officer) has lead responsibility for promoting and publicising the Parish Giving Scheme across our Diocese. On receiving news of the Diocese’s 100th church in the scheme, Martin said:
“I am really pleased with the uptake across the Diocese, where churches using the scheme are seeing real benefits in terms of (i) increased regular giving, (ii) inflation-proofed giving, (iii) faster recovery of gift aid and (iv) reduced administration for the Treasurer or Gift Aid Officer.”
The 100th church to join the PGS is Pathfinder Church Northstowe.
