We are delighted to be hosting a visit from the 10th - 22nd October for the newly enthroned Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Kigali, Rev. Nathan Amooti Rusengo and the Prince of Peace choir.
The Diocese of Ely has had a formal link with the Kigali Diocese since 2014. Since then there have been several visits between the two Dioceses.
Most recently, (summer, 2019) a team of retired teachers spent two weeks working in schools in and around the capital, Kigali, as well as the Archdeacon of Huntingdon and Wisbech, Hugh McCurdy, also making a visit to meet Bishop Nathan.
We were delighted that the collection from Bishop Dagmar’s Welcome Service went towards funding Women Pastors in Kigali and thank all of those who contributed – watch this space for more information at a later date.
You can find out more about the Diocese of Ely's links with the Kigali Diocese on our website here.
