Ferrar House - A place of peace and prayer

Ferrar House is a small Retreat Centre set in the beautiful and peaceful rolling countryside of Cambridgeshire. The House, at the end of a narrow lane, looks out onto open countryside.

In 2022, Ferrar House are offering a programme of Quiet Days (using St John’s Church as well).

These will be led by local ministers – not all ordained, and not all Anglican! Held on the 4th Friday of the month, from February to November, they offer a chance to step out of your regular routine to be with God in a variety of ways.

Quiet Days will run from 10 – 4, with coffee served from 9.30am. There will be a small charge for the day (£32 a day) which will include refreshments and a simple lunch.

Other Places of Quiet or Retreat

For many, visiting a Retreat House or Religious Community, for a Quiet Day or Retreat, can unlock a transforming experience of drawing near to God, and rediscovering God’s presence in our lives.

The Diocese of Ely Retreat House, Bishop Woodford House, Ely, is no longer available. However there are a number of other Retreat Centres, within the wider region. Quiet Days are also possible in any Parish Church, Quiet Garden or other suitable location.
