We hear from some of our new Licensed Lay Ministers, as they tell us more about their journey to licensing.
The ministry of each Licensed Lay Minister (LLM) is different: some serve in youth or children's work, others lead services, others preach or enable mission, but each has been called by God to serve and build up the church, often alongside jobs and other commitments.
To find out more about exploring Licensed Lay Ministry, talk to your vicar and visit our website. You can also contact the Mission and Ministry Team by emailing missionandministry@elydiocese.org.
Some of our LLMs who are to be newly licensed on Saturday 4 October have shared with us their experiences of A journey to licensing - from calling to selection, through training and beyond. You can watch some snippets of these videos below.
As we prepare for the service of Admission and Licensing of LLMs on Saturday 4 October at 2:30pm in the Cathedral, please join us over the next few weeks in praying for the individuals who will be licensed, their families and the parishes in which they will serve. Download a prayer leaflet with the names of those who will be licensed.
The Licensing service is a time of great celebration, and we encourage as many as possible from the local parishes to come to the service in support of their LLM. If you are not able to attend in person, do note that the service will be streamed and you should find it on the Cathedral YouTube Channel.
