RIP - Canon Bruce Curry

We were sorry to hear of the death on 16^th January 2024 of Revd Canon Bruce Curry and remember his widow, Jane and their family in our prayers.

From the Crockford’s entry for Bruce:

• Born in 1939 he gained a BA from Durham University in 1961 and trained for ordination at Wells Theological College.
• Deaconed 1963
• Priested 1964
• Served his first Curacy in Bath & Wells Diocese and a second curacy in Southwark.
• He served as Rector of W Walton in Ely Diocese 1971-78
• Vicar of St Neots from 1978-94
• P-in-C Everton w Tetworth, Abbotsley,Waresley, Gt & Lt Gransden 1994-99
• Rector Gt Gransden, Abbotsley and Lt Gransden 1999-04.
• He served as RD of St Neots 90-02
• He became an Hon Canon of Ely Cathedral in 1998-04
• On retirement in 2004 he became Cathedral Priest Vicar
