The Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce the appointment of Lay Canons and Etheldreda Canons
of the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely
Lay Canon
Sir Jonathan Jones KCB KC (Hon), a barrister and senior consultant in public and constitutional law with the international law firm, Linklaters LLP, visiting professor at Durham Law School, a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Government and a Master of the Bench of the Middle Temple. Has been appointed as non-executive member of the Cathedral Chapter.
Sir Jonathan will be collated and installed in Ely Cathedral during Evensong on Saturday 10 December 2022.
Etheldreda Canons
The Revd Sir Ralph Waller KBE, Director of the Farmington Institute at Oxford and a British Methodist Minister.
The Revd Gale Richards, the Regional Minister, Eastern Baptist Association.
Sir Ralph and Revd Gale will be collated and installed in Ely Cathedral during Evensong on Saturday 10 December 2022.
Lay Canon
Sarah Burles, art historian, lecturer and tour leader. Has been appointed as non-executive member of the Cathedral Chapter.
Sarah will be collated and installed in Ely Cathedral during Evensong on Monday 16 January 2023.
