The Diocese of Ely is committed to investing in the continuing professional development of its staff team and governors, to help ensure that skills and knowledge are current and relevant. All training is offered free of charge unless otherwise specified.

This funded offer is for all ACT Academies and Diocese of Ely Church Voluntary Aided and Voluntary Controlled Schools, including Single Academy Trusts.

We’re delighted to introduce ACT’s comprehensive CPD programme for 2025, developed in collaboration with the Diocese of Ely. This initiative offers an exceptional opportunity for schools across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Norfolk to access fully funded professional development, with the majority of the offer accessible at no cost to your school’s budget.

InspiREd Training

Inspired training

InspiREd is a subject leader development programme, which has a vision to inspire and enable those with responsibility for RE in being ‘strategic, impactful and flourishing leaders’.

The programme is aimed at leaders who want to develop their subject leadership skills to ensure it is strategic, has an impact on the whole school and is driven by the school’s distinctive Christian vision.

InspiREd is a paid training course only for applicants accepted.

 

Authorised Chaplaincy Assistant

The Diocese of Ely recognises that many people support the work of, and volunteer in, their local church school. Training to be an Authorised Chaplaincy Assistant (ACA) is the first stage of this process and will provide a basis for the development of the chaplaincy programme.
