Alan was ordained deacon in 1964 and priest in 1965 and after serving his curacy in Lincoln Diocese served in several Diocese before moving to Ely in 1988.
He retired in 1996 as much loved incumbent of Stoke Ferry and since his retirement has been very active with his wife Ann in the support of Stow Bardolph and the local Methodist Circuit.
