This is to confirm the appointment of the Canon Richard Darmody as Assistant Retirement Clergy Officer for Ely and Wisbech Area. This appointment takes immediate effect.
Richard, before his retirement, served as Rector of The Ramseys and Upwood for over ten years, served as Rural Dean for St Ives for 5 years as well as Assistant Director of Ordinands in the Diocese and was a member of Deanery Synod.
He currently holds the Bishop of Ely’s Permission to Officiate and is a Canon Emeritus at Ely Cathedral.
