Luke tackles Yr Wyddfa to raise funds in memory of his Great Nanna
Luke from Folksworth C of E Primary School raised over £1000 for a cancer charity by climbing Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) in the wind, hail and rain!
Luke decided to take on this challenge after losing his Great Nanna to cancer. Luke not only knew it was a cause dear to his heart, but also recognised that he wanted to raise money for others who were suffering from cancer or had lost loved ones as a result. He completed it in 6 hours and 10 minutes.
Luke was presented with a Courageous Advocacy Award by Jemma Coulson, Diocesan RE and SIAMS Officer, during a school assembly in July.
