Core Pathways – Leadership Module
This course is designed to be run over two sessions of 2 hours, two weeks apart. There is written work to complete and submit before and after the course. Most of our sessions are delivered over Zoom, however we do also have some face-to-face sessions.
This training is completed via the Church of England Training Portal where the coursework, zoom links, case study and certificates are accessed.
1. Go to the CofE Training Portal
2. Register or login on the portal. If you are new to the Portal you will need to create an account and complete both Basic Awareness and Foundation courses before you can complete Leadership.
(If you have already completed Basic and Foundation training, you will already have an account on the Portal, you will need your previous username and password)
3. From the Homepage, select the Leadership Tab
4. Find and Click on 'Ely Diocese - Leadership'
5. In the text box provided please enter your Parish and your Role then click on ‘enrol me’. You will receive and email confirming your enrolment as soon as it has been processed, this will be weekdays only between 8am-2pm.
6. Once you have been accepted onto the course you can log back in and click on ‘Course Overview’ This contains important information please read each tab carefully.
7. Choose your preferred style of delivery (please note that only a few face-to-face sessions are available each year). For those who are able to access the online sessions; wherever possible, please choose Zoom)
8. Click on ‘choose a learning group’ – choose a date that suits your diary, make a note of the 2 dates and time (for sessions via Zoom only)
9. Click on ‘Preparation Task’
10. Complete the written and reading tasks listed on this page. Once you have completed all of the sections, use the button 'submit' to finish this section. You will not be able to join the first session unless you have completed and submitted your written work at least 4 working days before session 1 is taking place.
11. Join the first Zoom Groupwork session on the date you have chosen using the button with the Zoom link shown on the portal. Those attending face to face session at Etheldreda House are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the session is due to start.
12. Between the first and second sessions, complete the coursework task via the portal and use the 'submit' button to complete this section. Please note it is not essential for this task to be submitted. However, you do need to ensure you have made some notes to use in the discussions during the session and you must have read the case study.
13. Join the second Zoom Groupwork session for the 2nd session of your module.
14. Complete the final evaluation including the action plan and 'submit assignment'. This again is completed via the portal.
15. You will receive an email to say that your certificate is available in your profile once the Tutor has marked all parts of your final assignment as complete. Please note that there can often be a delay between submission and when your work is reviewed. Please bear with us we will get to this as soon as we can.
