Annual Parochial Church Meetings
Election of Churchwardens

- The Archdeacons’ office will be in touch with parishes with arrangements for the swearing in of churchwardens, which will take place over a number of dates in early spring/summer.

Deanery Synod Elections
- Elections to each Deanery Synod will take place in 2023. Those elected will take office on 1 July 2023 and will serve for three years (until the end of June 2026).
- The Election(s) to Deanery Synod should take place prior to the election of Parochial Church Council (PCC) members due to Synod representatives becoming ex-officio members of PCCs at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM).

Annual Accounts
- Once the APCM meetings have taken place, Annual Accounts should be sent to the Diocesan Office in the usual way.
- Accounts should also be filed with the Charity Commission and the Diocesan Office notified of Deanery Synod representatives and PCC officers. This notification should include all contact details - with the appropriate GDPR approval in place.
- In the case of Deanery Synod members, the PCC secretary should inform the Rural Dean, Lay Chair and Deanery Secretary as to who the Deanery Representatives are.
