Reflective Pastoral Supervision supports the development of clergy and ministry workers
We believe that all those who inhabit a leadership role - clergy, curates, LLMs, LLMs-in-training, ALMs, Anna Chaplains, youth workers, children’s workers and other volunteers - should all be entitled to access to regular, well facilitated supervision that supports their formational development. Creating a supervision culture within our churches is healthy as it can reduce isolation, can prevent the formation of bad habits, can build trust and can be beneficial for both the supervisor and supervisee.
Reflective Pastoral Supervision provides an accompaniment for ministry, chaplaincy and leadership that pays attention to the wellbeing and development of the practitioner, to the safeguarding and flourishing of those we work amongst, and to the leading of God in the context of the organisations in which we work. It is a fast growing discipline that provides support for accountable ministry practice.
