The Office of Churchwarden is an annual office and it is a legal requirement for all churchwardens to be sworn in every year by the Diocesan Registrar or Archdeacon.

Dear Churchwardens serving the Archdeaconry of Huntingdon & Wisbech
Below please find the dates and venues for the services for the Admission of Churchwardens. As ever, you are strongly encouraged to attend any one of the seven services across the Diocese.
We realise that many of you may not be having your APCM for a while yet, but we wanted to give you advance notice of the dates and venues for the services so that you can begin to plan which service you will be attending.
- Tuesday 4th June: St Andrew’s, Soham at 7pm
- Wednesday, 5th June: CSK, Hampton at 7.30pm
- Saturday, 8th June: St Mary the Virgin, Godmanchester at 10.30am
- Monday 10th June: St Edmund’s, Downham Market at 7.30pm
- Monday 17th June: Bar Hill Church at 7.30pm
- Monday 24th June: St Mary’s, Burwell at 7.30pm
- Tuesday 25th June: St Peter and St Paul, Bassingbourn at 7.30pm
Register your place
- You will need to register online (as you have done in previous years) selecting your preferred service that you will be attending.
- You can book to attend a service via this link: Diocese of Ely (elydatabase.org)
- This registration process will help the Archdeacons’ office to prepare the ‘signing-in’ registration sheets as well as giving us an idea on expected numbers at each service – this is especially helpful to those churches who have kindly agreed to offer refreshments after the service.
