What three things can you do in September to take your first steps (or more!) as a church on your eco journey?

1. Consider choosing organic options this Organic September. Organic farming is better for nature and wildlife, has lower carbon emissions, higher animal welfare and reduces your exposure to pesticides.  You could also visit the Cambridge Biodiversity and Regenerative Food Festival on 27 September on Parkers Piece, CB1 1NA, 10.30am - 4.00pm.
2. Avoid purchasing new items (with their inevitable manufacture and transport carbon footprint) in Second Hand September.  Charity shops stock wide selections of books, music and DVDs, and pre-loved websites (such as Gumtree) sell an enormous range of second-hand goods.
3. Take part in World Car Free Day on 22 September, exploring public or active transport options to make all or some of your journeys that day.
