What three things can you do in March to take your first steps (or more!) as a church on your eco journey?

1. Refuse, Reuse, Reduce, Repair and if all else has failed, Recycle – with Global Recycling Day on 18 March, it’s time to think how we might reduce the waste we produce and live more sustainably. Choosing products without (or with the least) single-use packaging, declutter and rehome unused items or run a local ‘Swish’, repairing instead of replacing (visit your local Repair Café) and lastly, recycling.
2. Take your next (or perhaps your first) Eco Church step – join our Eco Church support session on 18 March on Zoom to help you to get started and hopefully progress through the Eco Church awards.
3. Has your church has submitted the Energy Footprint Tool yet, recording its energy usage in 2024, to better understand its carbon footprint and to plan its journey to net zero carbon?
