A grant opportunity across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, which provides support for local climate projects.
Following a bidding round, the funding will be awarded to public sector and community organisations, including parish councils and not for profits, for initiatives that will achieve environmental ‘wins’ including water and carbon savings and nature and biodiversity improvements.
Typical projects to receive funding could include:
- Installing solar panels on buildings such as village halls
- Setting up repair cafes
- Establishing community ground source heat pumps
These grants also have narrow windows for applications and have currently been launched by the following district councils and you should refer to their websites for details:
Huntingdonshire, East Cambs and South Cambs.
If you are interested in applying for this grant, please contact Net Zero Carbon Officer, Sacha Watson on sacha.watson@elydiocese.org. Funded projects are expected to include tackling energy use/energy efficiency/energy generation for community buildings.
