Fund Finder

Fund Finder – a quicker and easier way to search for funding.

The Diocese has renewed its subscription to this online tool which searches through thousands of Government, Lottery, charitable trusts and other funds.

You can register to use it by clicking here.

There’s a range of organisation types to choose from including Voluntary and Community Organisation; Community or Parish Council; and School.

You can also search or browse a range of categories including Arts, Culture and Heritage; Children and Young People; Community; and Environment.

We advise you to ‘Browse Funding’ rather than ‘Search for Funding’, as it results in a much broader range of grants to choose from, particularly if you are looking to fund a building related project. If you search and click religion as your area of work, it tends to dramatically limit the number of results you get.  For building related projects try – ‘Browse for Funding’ – ‘Voluntary and Community Organisations’ – ‘Arts, Culture and Heritage’ – ‘Heritage’. Then scrutinise the list making sure your project can meet the criteria.

It’s a great idea to save this ‘browse’ using the save search option, and then opt to receive email alerts.

More details can be found on the pdf user guide under ‘Help and Advice (on the Fund Finder website).

Once registered, you will occasionally receive an email from Fund Finder ([email protected]) asking you to fill in a short user survey.  We would be grateful if you could complete the surveys as they provide data which helps us to understand how effective this tool is and whether the Diocese should continue to offer it.

Please also remember to share your experiences with us so we can better understand the grants available, the application processes and where support is needed.

If you need any particular advice on finding grants for Church Buildings specifically, please email contact Holly Isted - Historic Church Buildings Support Officer.
