Bishop Sarah installed at Ely Cathedral
On Sunday 21 June 2026, we were delighted to welcome Bishop Sarah as she was installed at Ely Cathedral as the 70th Bishop of Ely.
Friends, family, clergy, lay leaders and colleagues from across the Diocese and beyond joined Bishop Sarah for the service, which marked the beginning of her public ministry as Bishop of Ely. During the service, Bishop Sarah took her place in the bishop’s seat at Ely Cathedral, the principal church of the Diocese.
Music was provided by the Ely Cathedral Choirs, featuring girl and boy choristers alongside the lower voices, accompanied by Prime Brass.
We warmly welcome Bishop Sarah to the Diocese of Ely and look forward to sharing in her ministry among us.
