Free Faith Security Training from the Home Office

Faith Security Training is a new training scheme available from the Home Office for faith communities in England & Wales.

Faith Security Training is intended to help faith communities reduce the risk of theft, property damage and anti-social behaviour, as well as hate crime and serious incidents.

Training is completely free of charge and for anybody connected to a place of worship - such as clergy, trustees, volunteers, or congregants.

You can complete the training in-person, online or via eLearning. Visit the training provider’s website to see available sessions and reserve your place, email contact@cdssupport.uk, or call 01242 542201 Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Training will cover:
  • Understanding threats to security
  • Pre-incident actions and incident response security measures
  • Risk scenarios
  • Security governance
Training format
  • You can join a multi-faith session where everyone is welcome, or a faith-specific session.
  • The content is the same across all formats.
Timings
  • In person sessions run 10.00am - 4.30pm.
  • Virtual training is split into two sessions, Part A & Part B. These run at different times so you can choose sessions that work for your schedule.
